We at team AfterSales are an innovative, cross-functional and agile team supporting the whole customer journey in the Tchibo e-commerce platform with our microservices - From customer registration and login to provision the customer account and initiating customer communication.

Your tasks: You make a difference with us.

 

  • As a Full Stack Developer in our AfterSales team, you'll be responsible for designing, building, running, enhancing and maintaining our customer centric microservices in close collaboration with the team.
  • Plan and develop end-to-end microservices with a full technology stack (frontend, backend, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD), write clean and high-quality code on a daily basis.
  • Ensure a high standard of quality by doing code reviews, pair programming and instant feedback loops and using best practices (e.g. style guidelines, testing, security, performance, and resilience).
  • Work on cutting-edge projects and collaborate with a diverse group of professionals, including designers, developers, architects, testers and project managers.
  • Personal development and further education possibilities. e.g. taking part in conferences, internal Tchibo conventions and online education programs.

 

Your profile: You keep discovering with us.

 

  • You have a successfully completed degree in computer science/business informatics or have a comparable qualification.
  • You have at least 3 years practical experience in software development / architecture and bring a passion for new technologies.
  • You are a true team player and are keen to play a role in cross-functional teams, always working together in an agile way (SCRUM/KANBAN).
  • You're able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, manage your time effectively, and stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies.

 

Minimum qualifications:

  • You have in-depth knowledge of one or more modern programming language preferred Kotlin, Java and JavaScript / TypeScript.
  • Professional software development experiences with Git and automation (CI/CD).
  • Experience with object relational databases, knowledge of how to write SQL scripts
  • Knowledge of web development.
  • You are willing to take the ownership for development and operation of one or more microservices.

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in developing web applications with Vue.js 3 and Nuxt 3 / Vite would be a plus.
  • First experiences in software architecture, design and development of self-contained microservices is what sets you apart.
  • You are familiar with cloud development, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP), their products like (CloudSQL, Pub/Sub, and GKE), DevOps, Terraform, Kubernetes.
  • If you are interested in data privacy and software security topics and you bring some first experiences our team is the perfect fit for you.
  • You are confident in writing and speaking in English.
